With the increase of Bhutanese traveling abroad on holiday, seminars, training and study, RICB has designed a policy that provides cover to the Insured person in the event of a sudden and unexpected sickness or accident while traveling outside the Bhutan on business, holiday or official visit including other contingent expense of loss of checked in baggage, delay in checked in baggage and loss of passport. It also cover his/her liability to third party property damage or injury resulting out of his/her negligence while at abroad. This will also have additional saving for the insured since the premium is paid in Ngultrum and the compensation is paid on hard currency.
Based on the country of visit and nature/purpose of travel the cover is classified into following plans:-
Plan-T1 - Worldwide excluding USA/CANADA and excluding country of domicile (Bhutan)
Plan-T2 - Worldwide including USA/CANADA and excluding country of domicile (Bhutan)
Plan-T3 - Asian countries only excluding Japan and country of domicile (Bhutan).
ELIGIBILITY: Citizens of the Kingdom of Bhutan or Non-Bhutanese resident in the Kingdom of Bhutan who are undertaking bonafide trips outside Bhutan for Business, Holiday Travel and official purpose. (Plan T-1, T-2, T-3)
