Travel Insurance (INTERNAL)
Travel Insurance Policy is a scheme where the life of the traveler is insured during the time of the travel/journey. It is a short term travel insurance plan and the policy is designed to compensate in the event of accident during the journey. The policy is valid up to the scheduled journey only. The policy expires as soon as the insured reaches the final destination and covers travel only within the country. However, if the route of the journey passes through Indian states, then exception is made for such travel/journey as well.
Travel Insurance does not cover the motor compensation. It is typical Personal Accident Policy. The compensation payable, inclusions and the exclusion are similar to that of a Personal Accident Policy.
