  • Overall Financial management of the RICBL and assist the CEO in setting the strategic direction for RICBL with the objective of meeting Organizational Vision, Mission and Objectives.
  • Financial Reporting to Chief Executive Officer.
  • Developing and ensuring implementation of strategies and policies for financial planning, budgeting, internal controls and reporting.
  • Ensuring that Departmental Head understands their part in achievement of plans, standards of performance, objectives and budgets.
  • Ensuring that all the financial transactions of various limes of business are properly maintained and the statutory financial information complies with regulatory bodies and best accounting practice.
  • Ensuring Compliance to all the regulatory bodies in the country.
  • Monitoring actual performance against budget and plans and initiating action to correct adverse variances and exploit favourable ones and ensuring output from appraisals and other opportunities for improvement are incorporated into departmental action plans.
  • Mobilizing adequate funds from the appropriate sources to meet both the short and long term requirements of RICBL whilst optimising the return on assets and minimising risks of exposure.
  • Ensuring that the management information systems are capable of supplying information in a form which is relevant and useful and setting and ensuring compliance with standards for the timely production of routine management accounts.
  • Assisting in designing investment strategies for effective investment of Insurance funds.
  • Assist other departments, in respect of procurement, logistics, and other functions.
  • To implement and monitor internal controls in order to safeguard the assets of the company.
  • Ensuring that training and development needs of staff are identified and satisfied and disciplining staff as and when necessary.
